Unfortunately, I have been having a runny nose for weeks now, and an easily-irritated right eye (when using contact lenses.) These didn’t stop me though from attending D15GUISE, a cosplay event of the Ateneo’s charity-oriented school fair. My problems were such a hassle really, but I enjoyed the event so much, especially being with my fellow cosplayers/costume makers.
There were many rules to follow in the event, including proper dress code even as a cosplayer. But luckily when I sent a photo of my costume Mari Illustrious Makinami to their organizers, they allowed it to attend. ^_^
The hardest thing about the rules though was that you may not enter the campus in your costume (except for armor-type of cosplay). As you may notice, my Mari Makinami pink plug suit costume is very difficult to wear, not just the tight suit itself, but even fixing the hair and accessories were hard and time-consuming. I had to do all those in the Ateneo’s 4B classroom. And there was no full-length mirror or any big mirror as well.
Changing from my costume to civilian clothes was even harder. That suit was really hard to remove. Oh, what a challenge…but it was a lot of fun.
And I can’t wait to share with you on www.thepinkgeek.net my thoughts about those talented and passionate cosplay costume makers I came to know better during that event. ^_^
Note: The photo was taken using my Palm Pre Plus. Geez…I didn’t know serious practice is needed when taking a photo of yourself using a touch-screen cam-phone.
