My title is “Strike a Pose and Donate the Dress” because today I just actually donated this cute pink floral dress for charity! It’s been so many months that I’d been contemplating whether I should sell or gift or donate this dress. It’s one of my most favourite pieces among my old stack of pink clothes. However, I haven’t been using it, and couldn’t seem to find any occasion when to wear it. I guess it’s probably because of the changes in my lifestyle right now, or maybe it’s just because there are way too many fashion trends nowadays that can be tried, leaving no more room for this sweet pink dress. And speaking of no more room, there is no doubt that I also don’t have any more space “in and outside” my closets! It’s been crazy trying to figure out how to organize, preserve, store, and fix my clothes! I really need more space, and the best way is to let go of the old.
I don’t know about you, but for me it’s hard to let go of my favourite clothes, especially when they’re still so pretty and new! So, I figured that the best way to cope in letting go of them, is simply to strike a pose with the outfit and have my pictures taken. That way, I’d at least have great pictures as remembrance of these clothes!
Instead of selling, I decided to donate this dress for charity. I hope that a young or teenage little girl would love and be with this dress as much as I did! Good bye favourite pink dress and I guess that’s a hello to new pink dresses in the future!
Note: With Christmas approaching, it’s been such a very hectic month. I have yet to finish wrapping all my gifts. There are still pending jobs to finish at work. I haven’t finished preparing for my trip abroad for the New Year. Plus, my birthday is coming in 2 days and our family reunion party! But I thought I’d still find some time to write this long-pending fashion blog post, so that my friend-slash-photographer Jacqy’s efforts would not have been wasted. Thank you Jacqy for the pics! Mwah!
